Hello, I’m Emma

I create soulful brand photography for founders of purpose-led businesses, helping you get confidently visible online.

You want photos that you actually like. Images that make you think ‘bloody hell, that’s me!’ while showcasing the business you’ve poured your heart into. Authentic, not over-polished. I get it. And as your photographer, I bring a sixth sense for drawing out your natural presence without it feeling like a performance.

Why it works

My approach blends equal parts intuitive direction and strategic planning – diving deep into your business vision before we ever press the shutter. It’s informed by my experiences of juggling spreadsheets and scraped knees as a business-owning mum, and navigating my own winding road to self-acceptance. And it’s powered by my journalist’s insatiable curiosity about what makes people tick.

It doesn’t have to be awkward

I know how vulnerable it can feel to be in front of the camera – and that understanding shapes everything about the way I work. You’re probably going to tell me you hate being photographed… But really it’s about who’s behind the camera. When we’re having a good time together, it becomes a breeze.

Humour helps me cope with reality.

I try to keep up with the news via satire, and I once did stand-up comedy to cure my fear of public speaking. (It sort of worked – I’m still terrified, just slightly less than when I had to make strangers laugh on purpose.)

I name my backup disks after 1980s children’s TV characters… make of that what you will.

I became a mum later than most

But timing was perfect… A social life that happens in daylight and revolves around snacks? I’m so here for it. I co-parent with my son’s awesome two dads and I’m massively grateful for our little rainbow family 🌈
Now I spend my days juggling client calls, shoot sessions and threenager negotiations. Genuinely mystified by what I used to do with 24 child-free hours??

I started my photography business over 10 years ago, after years of journalism and human rights work

I’ve never really fitted into conventional career templates, which has its perks and its challenges. Building something without a manual means a lot of figuring it out as you go, but it also means creating work that actually makes sense for your life.

“I’ve never felt so comfortable in front of a camera.”
